Posting to more than one Group in Entourage

Avoiding typing in each group is there an easy way to post to multiple
groups in Entourage? MS Newswatcher makes this process a piece of cake, but
this far entourage requires me to manually type in each group. Or is there
another way?

Doesn't Entourage recognize the group name after you've typed the first few
characters of it? If so, you only have to type a few characters for each
group name.

As an alternative, if you send to the same set of groups repeatedly, you
could create a new group whose members are the groups to which you wish to
send.

You should also be able to drag and drop from the group list.

Adam,
On rereading John's message, I think he is referring to NEWSgroups, not
groups of email addressees. IF that's the case, then I don't think there is
another way to post a message to more than one newsgroup, other than to type
the entire name(s).

So if you want to post something to both the Entourage and the Exchange
newsgroups, for example, because you're not sure which of them is causing a
particular problem, you must type in the name of the second (third, etc.)
newsgroup.

Yes I was aware of that. I was assuming that you could drag and drop
the newsgroups from either the server list or the subscribed list, but
I'm afraid neither works. The former does nothing, and the latter
attaches them as mbox files. Ah well.

Posting on multiple newsgroups if frowned upon. I don't want to answer your
problem only to find out that it was already answered on another newsgroup.
This is a good way to get ignored when you ask again.

At least with a cross-post you can see the different groups someone
posted to. That's much better than individual disparate posts to each
newsgroup.

There is also something strange with using a newsreader to cross post and
what will show up on the Mactopia forums. I don't they the forums will show
cross posting messages. I used to be able to send out an announcement by
including all newsgroups in one message, but now I have to send individual
announcements. (Note: I said announcements, not requests for help).

Hmm, I will test this.
