Power Point 2000 unable to open a powerpoint 95 file

I am running PowerPoint 2000 SP2 and SP3. I can not open
files that were created in Powerpoint 95. When I attempt
to open them I get the error "Microsoft PowerPoint can't
import the specified format. An error occurred and this
feature is no longer functioning properly. Please contact
your system administrator." Any suggestions? If I open it
using Powerpoint 2002 I don't get this error.

Worst case, you can open in 2002 and then re-save. That should enable you
to open the files in 2000. Running Help, Detect and Repair in 2000 might
well repair the problem, though. Have you tried that?

Do you have both versions of PPT on the one computer, by the way?
