Power Point 2003

Misst

I have worked hard on a slide show for my class as an end of the year gift.
The show has 175 slides with photos and music. It works fine on my computer.
I used the package for cd option and burned the show onto cd. When i run it
on my computer at school, the music gets out of sync and the show freezes up
at times. Is it because of the large number of slides? Is there a way I can
fix this? Thanks.

It may be more an issue with what's on the slides than the number of slides
themselves.

That said, please know that PPT's strong suit is *not* synchronization!
http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/PowerPoint/synchronizing.htm discusses
this and offers some good advice.

Finally, if your slide show is really mostly a series of images and sound
(background music), you may want to just create a video file using Windows
Movie Maker (free download).
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/moviemaker2.mspx
(Version 2.1 is included as part of SP-2 for Windows XP.) (V. 2.0 seems to
be available here: http://www.download.com/3000-2194-10165075.html )

Thank you for the help. I found that I have Windows Movie Maker on my
computer. If I use this to make my slide show will it play on any computer
or does the computer trying to play it have to have Movie Maker installed?

Movie Maker creates a video file, specifically a WMV file. WMV files should
play on most Windows computers. They play in Windows Media Player, which is
installed on most Windows computers (right now, anyway).
