Power Point is SOOOOOOO SLOW Can I split it?

Caruso

My power point file is 91 slides with graphics and music. It takes forever
to load it, or save it or do anything with it. Can I split the slide show
into 2 files then play them back to back or is there a better way to speed
this up?

Thanks
Mickey

How big is the PPT file (in MBs)?

Are you loading it from the hard drive or from a CD/floppy/thumb-drive?

91 slides in a bit over 1/2 a GB -- sounds like you can trim that way, way,
way down. It will load much faster, and leave some room on the hard
drive/CD for things that are more fun.
There is a lot of information about reducing PowerPoint file size at:

With correct optimization and depending on what all you have in there, you
should try for a file size of under 5 MB or approx. 1/100 of what you have.

Read thru the FAQ, apply the changes that you can and post back the file
size after all this. I have a tool (beta) that may help you identify where
the size is being hidden, if you still can't get it down to size
