Powerpoint 2002 Design Templates

Could someone pleased advise me on the following:

When I launch a new PPT presentation, the design templates do not appear in
my taskpane - the box outlining each design, and the drop-down arrows are
there, but none of the actual templates are visible.

I am running Microsoft PPT 2002.

Danny,
This sounds like a display problem. Update your video card driver. If that
doesn't help try lowering or
turning off the graphics hardware acceleration.
