Powerpoint 2002, print ONLY handouts

We need to apply a "Print HANDOUTS ONLY" to our network computers.
Handouts as the "DEFAULT" would be GREAT, is there a way to do it ?
We need to cut costs, and this would be a BIG savings.
I tried save a tree, could NOT get it to work on our network.
ANY HELP???

Not exactly what you want but you can select default print handouts in
tools>options>print and then save as a design template named "blank"

When people open a new blank presentation it will default to this setting.

Hi Steve

Im on ppt 2003 / windows xp pro with all updates (as I guess you are)

I find that the above opens "blank" files with the settings in tools >
options set to handouts > greyscale as I set but for some reason when I go to
print I get handouts > color.

The handouts setting sticks (obviously after youve saved the template as
"blank")

And Ive just checked it does actually print handouts! I could send you the
template if you want, to see if that works for you.

Saving the settings in a blank template is good if we could get EVERYONE to
open and use ONLY the blank template.
Thanks, but I think we still have to wait for someone else to come up with
another idea. If Microsoft would make it so we could set the default to print
the way we want and then reappy deepfreeze, we could SAVE a lot of money and
supplies.
Again Thanks so far.
