PowerPoint 97

Does Powerpoint 97 accept .mp3 files. I followed the same steps you would
follow to insert a .wav file but the .mp3 file never took. Can 97 handle
..mp3 files?

No, you cannot insert an MP3 in PowerPoint 97. For some unexplained reason you
can play a presentation created with a newer version of PowerPoint and if it
hasMP3s they will play.

I just want to make sure I am clear. If a presentation was created in
Powerpoint 2000 and it contained .mp3 files, I would be able to view the
presentation in Powerpoint 97 and also be able to hear the .mp3 files in 97?
