PowerPoint discussion group?

I love this group. Whenever I've had a question, people have always had the
answer. I just wish I had time to visit regularly.

So a friend was looking for a PowerPoint discussion, and with confidence I
said, "Go to the Microsoft newsgroups. They're very active and wonderfully
helpful."

So he did, and found that the PowerPoint newsgroup had very few posts -- and
no one with an answer to his question.

So does anyone here know of a good PowerPoint discussion group?

Thanks,
Jim

95% of PowerPoint questions will not be special to the Mac version. Your
friend should ask on one of the (Windows) PowerPoint newsgroups. He cannot
(easily) get there via the Google groups - he should use Entourage (as
you're dong, so you can tell him how) or another newsreader. If you filter
on "powerpoint" in the list of of newsgroups, a whole slew of them show up.
most of them language-specific.

microsoft.public.powerpoint

seems like the best bet, by far. If it _is_ Mac-specific, he should not give
up on microsoft.public.mac.office.powerpoint . A few knowledgeable people
will be along eventually. After about 3 days he could repeat his question,
and maybe also try microsoft.public.mac.office .

PLEASE always state which version of Microsoft Office you are using -
**2004**, X or 2001. It's often impossible to answer your questions
otherwise.
