Powerpoint dual monitor

I have created a presentation with menus on some slides that are hyperlinked
to other slides. I do not want to show the menus to the audience only the
slides that they are hyperlinked to using a projector. Based on how I need to
use the presentation I will have to run it from the presentation view. Does
the dual monitor setting have this capability or there any ideas?

With projection PPT is very difficult to force into recognizing anything
beyond the basics in show mode (eg, you cannot have an active show span more
than one monitor). The only add-in I can think of that may be applicable
would be PowerShow (http://officeone.mvps.org/powershow/powershow.html).

Other options:
- Create hyperlinks that are invisible or graphics so the audience would not
know what they are for, look like part of the layout, etc.
- Running an extended landscape dual monitor system; manually launch
presentations as needed (when you launch a new presentation it will be the
one on top), then ESCape to end which will appear to jump back to original
slide.

Best of luck finding a working solution to your exact needs.

You can use PowerShow add-in available at
http://officeone.mvps.org/powershow/powershow.html. THe included PowerShow
Launcher (http://officeone.mvps.org/powershow/powershow_launcher.html) allows
slide shows to start on a specified monitor. You can run this launcher
through hyperlink. Since hyperlink can run only applications and do not
provide a way to pass on arguments to it, you can use the Launch Builder
application available at
http://officeone.mvps.org/download/launch_builder.html to build a single
executable that launches PowerShow with preset arguments. Let me know if you
want me to send you examples for this technique.

To clarify, I have a presentation that is dynamic based on the questions and
answers that are asked during the presentation. So I have created a menu
slide with 5, 10 ,20 short descriptions that are hyperlinked to the specific
slides for the answers. These slides contain words, video clips, animations
etc. I cannot show the menu slides to the audience. Sometime one menu slide
is linked to another etc. Will powershow be able to let me create the
apperance on the audience monitor of either a black slide or the content I
want to show them. If so how easy is this to setup and how technical do you
you have to be to run it. We will be sending out some low level tech folks to
perform the presentations.
