Powerpoint File doesnt open from password protected hyperlink

Hi!
Were here in an customized Environment:
I created an autoconfigurated Webbrowser (Internet Explorer 6.0) to use in
Windows XP Professional.
If we do a click in our password-protected Intranet to open a Presentation i
got "The Page cannot displayed" from Browser.
The following specifications i could give you:
* Antivirus engine from Trend Office Scan
* Errors on old ppt-Files from 97 till 2000
* sometimes XP-generated powerpoints work on https in open file dialog
* no start/run "hyperlinkpath\file.ppt" would work
* Got Office XP SP 2 and some patches
* opening hyperlink path from open dialog in Powerpoint didnt work either:
"error accessing https:"
* no errors from unprotected Hyperlinks

I think its very close to see, that theres a Problem like "Password sent in
clear text"-Problem mentioned in KB-Article 310409.
But Solving is hardly impossible: "Install Service Pack 1 to Office XP"
This is a little confusing, cause we had an installation from Volume Licence
Office XP including Service Pack1. Afterwards our installations got SP2.
Maybe there is also an explanation in Internet Explorer, how he cached
passwords for our Intranet?
Cause this behaviour is also seen in other sites.

Any Ideas out here?
