PowerPoint hangs up with Video

I have been using video clips in my PowerPoint
presentations for the past year mostly with success but
with occational program "hangs" or freezes requiring a
program shut down and restart.
Now it is hapening EVERY TIME that I run my program!
Is there something in Servise Pack II that has caused
this to happen. Can PowerPoint with video ever be totally
dependable and not crash?
