Powerpoint locks up processor

When I try to edit a text (Powerpoint 2002), after deleting a few characters
the PC hangs and Powerpoint takes 99% of the processorcapacity.
When I look in the Task Manager I see that Powerpoint is running two times.
All latest SP's and patches are installed. I have this situation on systems
running Windows 2000 and also on Windows XP.
Any idea someone ?

I found the problem myself !! After disabling the spelling checker this
problem no longer occurs.
