I recently bought a new computer with Windows XP
professional on it. But there is NO Powerpoint? Am I
missing something? I have a presentation tomorrow and
really need it!

PowerPoint is a part of Microsoft Office or can be purchased alone.
It is not a part of the windows operating system. In other words it is not
part of Windows 95, 98, ME, or XP.

Hi Cliff,

Does it have OFFICE XP Professional or just Windows XP?
Office in the product with Powerpoint, Word, etc. Windows
XP is the operating system.

In your emergency, you can try downloading the PowerPoint
viewer for showing your presentation tomorrow.

Why would you expect your computer to come with
Powerpoint or any particular software on it? Did they
promise PowerPoint? Perhaps you are confusing "Windows
XP Professional" with "Office XP Professional." The
latter would, of course, include PowerPoint, but
definitely not, the prior.
