PowerPoint Overlay of Movie and Photo

Is it possible to run a movie and then introduce an image so that it appears
over the movie, then continue with the movie after a delay of approx. 20
seconds. At present the movie runs but the image appears behind, I've tried
to reorder but with no success. Any ideas?

I would refer you to other software. With PowerPoint's default and native
limit of always playing movies on top, you would need to resort to all sorts
of trickery to create the appearance you seek. Meanwhile, low-cost video
editors do this with little backtalk, and the intuitive, downloadable, and
well-priced Pro Show (www.photodex.com) would have you creating the effect
in about 15 minutes...

It is quite possible that this might help, but in the interim I've split the
video and inserted, through animation, the other images. As a matter of
interest (I've just posted this query) can you loop one slide amongst many?
By that I mean I've set up one slide as an introduction and would prefer it
to loop until I'm ready to move onto the presentation proper.
