Can anyone create a readability macro/add in for PowerPoint 2000 that uses
the average syllables per word and the frequency of word use? Frequency of
word use is important for readability statistics because the word "twee" is a
simple word that most people can say BUT how many people use it and would
know what it means? Contrast the frequency of "twee" with the frequency of
"tree", and you will see where word use can make a PowerPoint presentation
easier or more difficult for the average person. Converting the text to a
Word document and running the readability statistics does not help because
PowerPoint presentations genreally do not have complete sentences and/or the
short Titles and Captions will skew the results. Also, does anyone know of
any studies correlating syllables per word to ease of understanding?
