POWERPOINT REGISTERED CONVERTERS OFFICE 97

I cannot open my saved powerpoint presentations, get
error message "registered converters not found may need
tp reinstall" I have tried to remove entire Office 97
product get error message " cannot open powerpoint.exe
file" NEED HELP!! THANKS

These are the only things I can find regarding "registered converters"
in the KB.

See if uninstalling Office, running a registry eraser
(http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00297.htm), and then reinstalling
helps.

If not, I'd probably call MS Product Support.
