PowerPoint Takes Long to Run as Slideshow

I have a 26 page Powerpoint document with various animations. When I try to run as a slideshow from the View window, the first page takes very long to appear. What seems to be the problem?

How big is your PowerPoint file size? Is there a graphic image on your
first slide? Did you merely "Copy" and "Paste" that image on this slide?
