If your presentation was created in PowerPoint 2000, there is a recently
discovered bug and the Viewer won't play your sounds. The only known work
around is to save the presentation in PowerPoint 2002. The problem with
that is that if you had PowerPoint 2002 you probably would have used it in
the first place. I don't expect that we'll see a fix to this bug very soon.
