Powerpoint XP

I am using Powerpoint XP on Windows ME.
When I show the powerpoint presentation it puts a copy of
the powerpoint slides on my hard drive.
How do I stop this?

I'm not sure what you mean here. Where is the presentation originally located?
If it's on the web, the presentation is downloaded to your Temp folder so that
it can be played. We probably need more information to better understand the
question.
