Not through the viewer, but if they have PowerPoint installed the file can
be opened and edited.

But just save it with a modify password, and you'll get rid of most of that.
I say "most" because I think that anything you send out can ultimately be
opened,
copied, etc. in some way. But the password, together with the viewer, and
you might a well throw in the PPS format (save as Show rather than
Presentation)
will stop "non-professionals."
