PPS downloads as PPT

I have created a PPS and stored it on my server. When the file is
downloaded, it comes in as a PPT rather than a PPS. Does anyone
understand why this behavior is happening? Here's the location of the
download.

Try zipping the file and have folk download the zipped pps

I don't know why, but for me, selecting the option Open it opens in the
slideshow mode within IE. When I select Save it gives me the ppt extension,
which I changed to pps and then saved. Because the ppt/pps extensions are
interchangeable it might be just the way it is programmed in IE to handle
this type of transaction. Sorry I didn't offer a solution.
