I am new to powerpoint. People send me attachments to e-mails with .pps
extensions, and my powerpoint 2003 won't open them. What am I doing wrong?

Are you receiving any error messages? Make sure that your PowerPoint 2003
has all the updates.

No error messages, a box that says "powerpoint cannot open this. it is not a
powerpoint presentation", when it really is.I cannot find anything on my
computer relating to .pps extensions.

From with in PowerPoint, click on Help | About which will tell you what you
have installed. Help | Check for updates will take you to the Microsoft site
to download and install the upgrades
