Does anyone know of a way to write to and read from a database or
spreadsheet? I am trying to touch up my jeopardy program so that
questions can be stored in this format and then written to the correct
slide in the presentation when the slideshow begins.

The project: I have created a Jeopardy game on power point. I want
teachers to be able to type in questions and answers and save them
without having to save the whole power point project with different
names. I envision the presentation beginning by asking the users what
file they want to open. The file would contain all of the questions and
answers. I know how to do this using a text file. I am just wanting to
make the whole process of typing in and saving questions a little more
user friendly.

Thanks.

I have a couple of examples that write to a text file on my site. I
thought I had something that reads from a text file (I know I created
one), but I guess I didn't put it on the site. Go to my site and click on

I thought Shyam had better information about interacting with
spreadsheets, but I couldn't find it on his site:

Microsoft had a KB article by a guy that showed how to write from Access to
PowerPoint to populate slides for use on a survey-type presentation. Do a
search for "Office Kiosk". The site no longer has the download file on it,
but I think I have it. I also have my own Jeopardy game that uses VBA
(macro security must be set to MEDIUM and macros enabled for it to work) at:

http://www.pttinc.com/ppgame.htm

I have some code to write to Access if you are interested. If you do a
search on previous posts you might find it. If not, holler back and I can
post it again.

I have tried contacting the email address supplied at this URL. My
email provider does not recognize it as a workable path. I am
interested in purchasing the code for the Jeopardy game mentioned at
the location. Could you tell me what the cost is and method of payment
required?
Thank you,
Eldon
