PPT2000 "Record Sound" Feature

MS PPT 2000 has a "Record Sound" feature under
the "INSERT" menu and the "MOVIES & SOUNDS" button. Is
there any way to adjust the quality of sound the "Record
Sound" feature records? I find that the default setting
produces a very low quality voice recording. Any help
would be appreciated. Thanks.
