Presentation has no Path when closing Powerpoint?!?

R

RJ Lohan

Have hit a bug in some addin code I have, and I've discovered a bit of
weirdness - if you close a Presentation, you can check the value of
..path or .FullName in the App_PresentationClose event, and you get the
path to the closing presentation. However, if you close Powerpoint
itself, the value of .path is empty, and .FullName shows no path - just
the filename. :-/

This is not the same behaviour as Word/Excel. Have I found a bug? Seems
so obscure that I have to wonder if it wasn't intentional for some reason??

Cheers,
RJ

Good Morning RJ,

As you have discovered, the Object Model for PowerPoint is somewhat
different from that of other MS apps. If there is a functionality that you
find missing and feel should be modified/added, please post your suggestion
to the MS Wish line. They really do listen and are looking for ways to
improve their product. Please let them know at:
