I have just installed Office 2008 on a G5-intel machine.

Is there a problem viewving PDF-files in messages?

The previw om my machine is not viewing correctly.

That will depend on the application creating your PDFs. Some do not
embed fonts and therefore PDFs displayed in Entourage and Preview will
not display correctly.

If you open the message and it does not appear correctly but does appear
correctly in Adobe Reader or Acrobat then the culprit is the creating
application.

Thanks for answering so fast.

I use Adobe CS3 to generate PDF's. I have tried to generate a PDF in Word and the same PDF in Illustrator and then attached them to an email. The preview in Entourage showed the PDF from Word correctly but not the PDF from Illustrator!!??

I have a Apple G4 running as fax. All faxes are sent as en PDF-attached email and there are not showing correctly.

I did not have this problem in Office 2004!

Whats is the diffrence?

The difference is probably that Entourage now uses WebKit for HTML
viewing rather than the old Tasman browser engine used by Internet
Explorer for Mac from years ago.

Test PDFs made by different applications opening them in Safari, which
also uses WebKit. Do you get the same results? If so, you're looking at
a limitation or a flaw in the engine. Future updates may fix that.

just like the way it leats u preview pdf files
