print a cropped picture inserted into Word

I've successfully edited photos in Word before, so this
problem has happened only once...last night (didn't try it
today).

I inserted a picture into Word and cropped it. When I
printed it out, the cropped off portion printed - not what
appeared on my screen (in print layout view).

Does anyone have a clue why that would happen?

Did you ever get an answer to this? We're having the same issue on an HP
laser (very intermitent).
