Print background images in Entourage 2008?

I have an HTML email message with a background image that I would like to be
able to print. I can't seem to find any preference or other setting that
will enable this. The image displays properly but will not print.

Is it possible?

I've never tried it, so it looks like you've answered the question in that
it doesn't print. My guess is that if you printed the background image the
text would get lost in the background. You could try printing a screenshot
of the message. That would show correctly.

Obscuring text is not an issue in this case. The message contains an
HTML-formatted packing slip that will be sent to a company that handles the
shipping for my business. Messing around with a screen shot is not an option
because a similar message will be generated every time an order is placed.

I learned yesterday that Outlook Express relies on the background printing
preference set in the Internet Explorer advanced options. Is there any
chance that Entourage might also be looking elsewhere for that setting? It's
obviously not set in IE since that is no longer available for Mac.
