Print event prints the text twice

This doesn't always occur but I haven't yet figured out when it does and
when it doesn't.

Sometimes when I want to print out a single event, any text in the text box
is printed twice - firstly in Verdana font (my default HTML font) and then
in Monaco (my default plain-text font).

Anyone else experienced this and/or know what triggers it?

In the last half an hour I have printed the same event twice: once with the
text printed twice and once with the text only printed once. I can't think
of anything different between the two situations.

Hi Stuart!

I suspect that no one has replied to you yet because this is a very
unusual problem. So, I'll ask a few probing questions.

Does this happen with more than one event? Are you printing with the
message open or just selected and in the preview window? What *should*
the font be (Verdana or Monoco) as it appears in the event? Can you tell
if this happens with events you create, those you've received or both?

I've done a little investigation and found out a little more about the
behaviour. My original statement was actually slightly incorrect. But first
I will answer the questions I know straight away:

- The problem can occur with any event
- I have observed it when printing with the event open. The circumstance is
visible in the Quickpreview of my print dialogue and if I use preview prior
to printing (and of course, if I actually go on and physically print)
- It certainly occurs for events I create. I don't know about those created
by others.

Corrections to my first post:
- when the event prints twice the first set of text is printed in HTML font
in Entourage preferences and the second set of text is printed in the PRINT
font in Entourage preferences. The event itself is in the PLAIN text font
preference.

I discovered the above error when swapping fonts in the Entourage
preferences.

- I changed the PRINT font preference to Chalkboard. The repeated text
occurred and the first set of text was in Verdana and the second in
Chalkboard
- I changes the PRINT font preference back to COURIER. The repeated text
occurred and the first set of text was in Verdana and the second in COURIER.
- I changed the HTML font preference to Chalkboard. The repeated text issue
didn't occur. The text was printed in Chalkboard once only.
- I changed the HTML font preference back to Verdana (ie now all the font
preferences are in their original settings). Single print of text.

I can't now seem to get the repeat text issue to happen.

Am I any clearer? Probably not. All I have deduced is that if I stuff
around long enough, the problem may go away.
