I recently converted my palm contacts, calender, to do's and tasks as
well as outlook mail to entourage. Everything is working fine with
one exception... In palm desktop you can select a contact and print a
single label or envelope. In entourage you have to export the contact
to word. Is there a way to print a single label or a single contact
to an envelope directly from Entoruage?
I think you may be able to do it using George Clark's script "eQuery" which
I think you can find at
MacScripter.net <
http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>
It switches you to Word after giving you some choices. Back in Office 2001
it (and one of my scripts which I haven't brought over to X because I don't
think it's needed any more) were the only way top do it. But it's more
laborious than doing it yourself in Word.
Anyway, what's wrong with Word? Word is what knows about labels, envelopes,
etc. Office is a suite where each app has its own features but they
collaborate with each other. Word can access your contacts from Entourage's
Address Book (which it calls the Office Address Book). Just go to
Tools/Labels.., click the little Address Book icon in the window, type a few
letters of the contact's name (just as in Entourage messages). It shows you
one or more contacts you select one, click Insert, and there you are.
Labels. Or you can do a Data Merge for lots of people's labels all at once.
You don't need to import anything into Word. Word has the contacts already.
And the labels. Everything's there, ready and waiting.
