My students often change their names on assignments and thus recieve credit
for work they did not do. We have a server at school where the kids log
onto. Much like an internet web site printout, can we print out the user
name on each paper printed. This would tag each paper to a specific student
and hopefully keep them from printing out the same assignment with different
names.

Hi, Chris,

I don't know that there's anything in Office that will let you do this, but
you might want to check your printer options on the server. The printer
driver might give you the flexibility to print the logged in user name in a
footer or header.

Do you give them templates to use for these assignments, or do they just
start with a blank document? Are you using Word, Excel, or what?
