Printing GANTT Charts to HP Plotter

In printing various size plots, the font doesn't scale accordingly. For
instance when going from a 11 X 17 to 17 X 22, the font doesn't appear to get
much larger. The space between lines does but not the font. When I go
to 34 X 44, the font isn't as large and legible as it should be.

Have played with various settings but haven't come up with anything that
works.

Printing is controlled almost exclusively by the printer driver.
Suggest you try going to HP's web site and see if an updated printer
driver is available. You could also try different fonts. At a minimum,
use the TrueType fonts which are generally the best.

There are 2 HP 500PS drivers available on the HP support site:

HP GL/2 14SEP2006
PCL 3GUI 11NOV2005

Both would appear to be updates for our current drivers. Can you tell me
what the difference would be or which would be appropriate for a Windows XP
install?

Sorry, I don't know. I'm not a printer expert. When I've found need to
get printer drivers, I usually just install and hope for the best.
Usually it works. Even if it doesn't, with XP you can rollback the
system. Contact HP support for the best advice. Good luck.
