Printing on a HP DesignJet 650

I want to print on one page, my Gantt view. I have 36" wide paper or Size E. When I select paper size at E, unintelligeable output. When I select paper size D, I get the output, but not at the size I am expecting. It prints only 1/3 to 1/2 of the paper. I am expecting to use the entire or most of the width available and all of the length needed. It seems that the plotter is capable and Project is capable, however, my experiments end up with an abundance of recycle material. Not really sure where to go from here, much potential, but no actualization.
