Printing: Scaling Page

The page is 24" by 48". I want to print it on 8.5" by 11", so I want to
scale it (echos of Excel features). Anyway, I read in a previous post to use:

Format/Autofit/BestFit

"AutoFit" is not greyed out but the three sub menu items (ie Best Fit) are.
So Best Fit is not available.

What to do... any advice? Thank you so much.

Print a PDF file at 24" x 48" using PrimoPDF (free from www.primopdf.com)
and scale the PDF to fit the page when printing from Adobe Reader.
