Problem installing BCM in W2K

My Outlook 2003 works fine but when I try installing BCM update, it says it
has encountered problem and needs to close. The error signature is:
EventType : bcm P1 : mapi P2 : typeinitializationexception
P3 : 1.0.2002.1 P4 : 11.0.6359 P5 : nativemsproviderinit
P6 : msproviderinit P7 : d40099fb

I am running Windows 2000 Professional SP4. I also have Visual Studio 2005
Beta 2 installed on the machine.

Hi Nagesh,

At what point are you getting this error? From the error, it appears that
you probably have .Net Framework 2.0 installed on your machine and your BCM
has not got upgraded either. Try uninstalling .NET Framework 2.0 and then
upgrade BCM.

What version of BCM are you trying to upgrade to? BCM V2 can be downloaded
from -
http://www.microsoft.com/office/outlook/contactmanager/prodinfo/update.mspx

Hi Sinha,

Thanks very much for your response. I tried uninstalling .NET framework 2.0
but it did not work. I found that installing SP1 for BCM
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;839881) solved the
problem. I appreciate your help.
