problem saving attachments in contact

I keep recieving a "cannot create attachments. The operation failed." when I
try to save an attachement to a contact in my public folders. This contact
is 9MB, already has 100 included files. Is there a limit on the number of
included files on a contact? Has anyone had this problem?
