Problem sending email

I have been using Entourage 2004 (previously X) for a year or so with
no problems. Recently I am having problems in sending. What happens is
that I send the mail and it sits in the outbox and the progress bar
gets stuck in one position part way through the send. After a minute or
two I get a message saying that Entourage was unable to send, if I then
send again it works fine. This happens some of the time at other times
it is fine first time. Whilst this is not critical it is a nuisance.
Any thoughts?

Is this with an Exchange server ??
