Problem Sharing Calendar - Outlook 2K IMO

I keep losing a connection sharing a calendar between Director and his
Secretary.
Both running Win2ksp4, Outlook 2000 IMO. Mail setup is POP3 from
Unix/Netscape server.
Calendars set to sync every 10 minutes, will work for a while, then shared
connection will stop.
If I resend the invitations to re-share calendar, then entries / holidays
are duplicated.

Other people sharing calendars, setup the same way are not having problems.
This is an isolated case.
Could it be the volume, since a lot of meetings are scheduled daily.
