Problem Syncing Entourage 2004

My Palm is syncing with the Entourage X instead of Entourage 2004. What
do I need to do to change it. I am also unable to open the Entourage
conduit.

Well you should keep both X and 2004 active on your Mac at the same
time. Having two versions of an application on a Mac is never a good
thing. Then you need to install the conduit that comes along Office
2004.

I suspect though that you have the Daemon from Office X running and not
the daemon for 2004.

If you really don't want to uninstall Office X, you should use the
Activity Monitor application to find the daemon and quit it, then go to
the system preferences and remove the daemon from the startup items and
finally, launch Entourage 2004. As long as you don't launch any Office X
app again you should be fine, but if you do, you'll probably end-up with
both daemons or the wrong daemon running again...

:))) Indeed... Try not to keep several versions of the same apps on your Mac.

I, too, am suddenly having the problem of not being able to open up
Entourage 2004's conduit settings in the Palm Hotsync software. I have
reinstalled the conduit a zillion times so far and have also deleted many
prefs files. Any thoughts about this? I need to sync my Palm to Entourage
soon and I am unable to.

The strange thing is is that it did sync fine just about a week ago.
