Problem with address group

I have an email list that I keep track of in both an Excel spreadsheet
and an address book group (in Entourage). Usually, I first add new
addresses to the spreadsheet, then copy and paste at the end of the
group -- with no problem. But I just noticed that the total numbers
in the two places are off by eight.

So I deleted all the addresses in the Entourage group and pasted again
from Excel. At first it said that 396 were displayed, which is the
right number. But then when I saved, the number dropped down to 388!

I've tried this a second time and the same thing happened. Any idea
what's going on?

If you use the File --> Export --> contacts as tab delimited file, this file
can be opened in Excel. Compare that file to the one you created. Maybe this
will shed some light on the problem.
