I had a spreadsheet that become huge in size over several years of regular
use. Come to find out autoshapes used only for formatting had multiplied
in/on a few cells that contained formulas linking to over workbooks. In
total over 88,000 autoshapes resided in only 6 cells in this Workbook. If I
put the cursur over the autoshape it would say Recantgle 10750, or 10,750
autoshapes were stacked in this one cell. The sheets looked normal but
performed exceedly slow.
I finally cleaned them out but can not understand how this occurred and do
not want to have it happend again.
Can anybody offer an explanation?
