Hello,
I am using Office XP and am having some trouble with modifying Hyperlink
properties via a script. Under some circumstances (which I do not yet fully
understand) if you attempt to change a HyperLink.Address value PPT will also
change the HyperLink's .TextToDisplay value. The only consistent pattern I
have seen is if both fields begin with "\\" - typically both are UNC
HyperLinks.
Even more strange is that the TextToDisplay value does not seem to change
until a Save operation is performed for the document. If I stop my script
right before the Save call, the two values are correct; after the Save call
the TextToDisplay has been changed to match the Address value. I would
guess that this has something to do with link updating occurring as part of
the Save.
Does anyone have any help or knowledge they could share on how to avoid this
problem?
TIA
