Problem with master view

This is an odd one...

I've applied a notes master to a presentation, but oddly enough it
doesn't seem to effect all the slides. Some of them follow the master,
but others are drastically resized and the layouts are completely
different. As far as I know, there isn't anything unusual about these
slides that would cause the odd formatting. Right now I'm stuck going
into notes view and fixing the broken slides manually, but if there's
an easier way to fix it (or if there's something I'm doing wrong), I'd
really like to know!

Hi David,

which version of PowerPoint do you use? Is there more than one master in the
template, so that maybe the different slides use the second template? What
you could try: Make a new presentation based on the template with the new
notes master and use Insert - Slides from file to copy the existing slides
into the new presentation.

Best regards,
Ute

Version is 2003

I've actually tried pasting the slides to a new presentation, but the
same problem occurs, which makes me think it's something unique to the
slide formatting. I've checked the slides but can't find anything that
would cause this (unless changing the font size affects it). It's
strange, sometimes it just moves the slide around so it covers the
notes, othertimes the slide is drastically resized to be smaller, but
the majority of the slides look fine.

Is there any way to check to see if there's another master that I'm
unaware of?

If there is an additional master, you should see it in View - Master - Slide
master. In Tools - AutoFormat options - AutoFormat as you go please turn
off the last four options. Then uses Format - Slide layout and re-apply the
layout. I'm not sure whether this automatic formatting affects the notes
format.

Best regards,
Ute
