Problem with Outlook 2003

I am having difficulty trying to delete an outgoing
message in my *Outbox* in Outlook 2003 (running XP Pro).
I need to know how to delete the message. I have tried
deleting it and a message comes up that says it is
already in the process of being sent.

Thanks,

Create a new Outlook profile that references your PST file but contains no
transports.
Delete the message from the Outbox.
Go back to using your old profile.

Just right-click on the "send/receive status" in the lower right corner of
your outlook window, cancel the send/receive, then delete the message from
your outbox.

Create a new .pst file and make it your default. Close and reopen Outlook -
delete the message.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Frank asked:

| Just right-click on the "send/receive status" in the lower right
| corner of your outlook window, cancel the send/receive, then delete
| the message from your outbox.
