Problem with printing in Entourage

One thing that tripped me out when I started in e mail land few years go was
that when I printed, the text came out formatted all whacky.

This was solved by Paul's blessed soft wrap. I print out lot of e mails, so
this is my most used script.

Now in Entourage 2004, it's performance is ok, but much slower. It used to
be instant , but now the waits for it to finish are much longer. Are there
any other ideas of beating this problem? Thanks.

You did ask me privately already, but I hadn't tested yet. I just tried it
out in 2004 in OS 10.3.4, and it's still "instant" for me - a fraction of a
second.

Window display is generally much slower in OS X than in OS 9. How fast is
your computer and how much RAM do you have?

I'm on dual 533 with 1 GB Ram. Now it's still pretty good with a single
message, but it really seems much slower when I have to use it for a digest,
which I do all the time-- ie, want to print something someone says from a
yahoo group digest-- have to use that on the whole digest. Now takes about
40 seconds to a minute. Think it was bit faster before 2004.

This is without bursting the digest into separate messages? Still one
message, but a very long one?

What does that mean bursting into separate messages? Thanks!
I usually just highlight the incoming digest as another e mail.
