I've just learned of a problem some of my clients are experiencing. When
I "redirect" an email to my group mail list of 68 addresses, all of my
recipients are getting the email, but for some of them, the subject is
stripped off the email and instead "no subject" is displayed where the
subject should have been. The original email contains the subject
"CNYweddings: Vendor Information Request", the received redirected email
says "no subject" in place of the original subject. But only some of my
clients are experiencing this, while the others received the original
subject intact.
This has been happening with all my clients using AOL, Hotmail and
selectively with some other recipients using different ISP's. I am not
seeing this happen with emails addressed to RoadRunner accounts, for
instance.
The method I am using to redirect these emails is as follows...
I'm using Entourage v 10.1.0 on a Mac. My addresses are contained in a
group that is inserted into the To: address field. The address group is
configured to "Don't show addresses when sending to the group".
About the only thing I can come up with is that Entourage is sending the
email in such a way that results in the subject getting stripped or
dropped by some ISP's. Is it possible that Entourage is formattingthe
redirected email in some way that is not "standard"?
Can anyone provide some insight on this and/or offer a solution?
