Problem with repeating emails.

Hey guys, just joined the group. Started using Entourage a few weeks
ago. Microsoft Office and all Apple software is up to date.

Here is my problem. Many, but not all emails that appear in my IMAP
inbox will appear more than once. Sometimes 2 times, 3 times, but once
as many as six times. And hitting delete acts erratically. One message
may remove itself from the inbox, but most remain. Why are these
messages repeating so much? They don't repeat on the server, as I've
proven when looking at my email from the web client. Also, this happens
the most to my emails from my girlfriend's yahoo account, but it has
happened to other emails too.

If you can offer any help, that'd be great! Thanks!

Wanted to state explicitly that I'm not synched to an Exchange server.
Just using this on my home computer for my personal email accounts with
imap.

With the message list open, try pressing Option-Command-L to repair the
message list (you can do the same thing by Control-clicking the folder in
the message list and choosing to "Repair Message List"). That often
corrects such problems.
