Problem with send messages & opening HTTP websites

Version: v.X
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

I don't know how to fix either of these problems and I don't know any MAC people that can walk me through these problems.

Sometimes I am not able to send messages. It doesn't matter the size of the message. I will have to close everything down and reopen entourage and then send the message. Sometimes I have to go through this process twice.

I also am not able to click on a URL and open it from within an email. I have to copy and paste in order to open it. I use to be able to just click on it and it would open automatically.

Can you help me with these two problems?

First, let's be sure you are at least using the last update for Entourage X.
You do know it's end of life software?

Go to the Microsoft Office folder in Applications. Open the Office folder
and look for the Microsoft Component Plugin. What version do you have? If
it's not 10.1.9 then you need to update.

"/Applications/Microsoft Office X/Office/Microsoft Component Plugin"

Microsoft Office v. X for Mac 10.1.9 Update release date 1/5/2007 (This
update includes all of the improvements released in all previous Office v. X
updates.) said:

This one is a bit more difficult to diagnose. Are you at work and trying to
connect to your server? If you are at home, it could be your ISP wants you
to connect before sending. Exactly what is happening? What error do you
receive? Give as much detail as possible. What type of account? (POP, IMAP,
Exchange) How much RAM? How much free space on your drive?

Just Command-click the URL to open it in your default browser.

I also suggest you refresh your base OS files. Download the combo updater
from Apple and run it again rather than using Software Update. Doing so
overwrites potentially problem-causing files. Combo updaters will install on
the same version as they¹re applying‹no need to roll back or do a clean
install.
