Problem word 2000 vs word 2002

All my documents created in ver. 2000 have in a footer
section the numbering ie. page 1 of 5 etc.

But when that documents are opening in ver. 2002 XP only
show page 1 of 1, in second page 2 of 2 etc.

Pleas help me

Hi Jair

This has been an ongoing problem in Word (see
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErrors/PageXofY.htm). However, it should be
fixed in the latest version of Word 2002 so if possible check whether you
are up to date at
http://office.microsoft.com/officeupdate/default.aspx

If you can't do the download, you may be able to fix the problem by going
into the footer, toggling the field code for the total pages number, and
replaceing NUMPAGES with numpages (i.e. lower case).
