Problems and wish list

Two things so far I would like in entourage that I have in mail.app:

1. Quick Look, the ability to preview a file without having to open it.
2. Being able to send a picture file to iPhoto

Problems I am experiencing so far:

1. When opening Rules... I cannot sort them in any way, I have to move up
and down to find the one I need. Please, let us sort rules.
2. Moving from Mail to Address Book is slow. Sometimes I open the Mac's
address book, because Entourage takes too long to switch.
3. When I open an existing Rule having a message selected, the contains
field changes to the address being selected and not the original address in
the Rule. Can someone from Microsoft verify this please?
4. When I try to compact and rebuild my database, the program crashes...it
reminds me this is a Microsoft program (sorry, no offense, but this is what
I was trying to avoid when moving to a Mac) I don't have this on any other
program made for the Mac by other vendors.

I hope this helps the Msoft development team.

Best regards.

I would like to add

1. Option to remove On My Computer
2. Option to remove Mail Views
3. Ability to move the calendar from the bottom left to upper left
like Outlook 2003/2007 for Windows
4. Support or something similar to RPC over HTTPS

These are good ideas. I've got an AppleScript for #1 and I'll look into
scripting #2. I'll be sharing on my weblog later this week
(http://www.ruffly.org--I haven't posted in a long time, as well, we were
shipping Office 2008).

1. Sorting is a good suggestion, will pass it to the team.
2. Hmm, what kind of machine are you on? How many contacts do you have?
3. I'll pass this to the team to look into.
4. Make sure you report this via Microsoft Error Reporting.

Hi Andy, thank you for your response.

I have 1746 contacts. Entourage takes about 6 seconds or more when I switch
to see my contacts. I hope you can fix that.
I have a Macbook Pro, 2GB of Ram 2.16 GHz or so.
I have reported to Microsoft everytime I compact and rebuild and I get a
crash, so far I haven't been able to do it successfully.

One more thing, when I turned Sync on, Entourage deleted some phone numbers
from various contacts. I haven't had time to check which ones, but it
erased a few for different contacts. I hated that because it touched my
data without me knowing this was going to happen.

Another item on my wish list:

1. Do not limit the type of phone number in address book. I mean, let us
choose as many mobile numbers as we want. I have some friends that have 3
mobile phones. Entourage only lets me assign 1 by default. The Mac's
address book has that advantage, you can add more phone numbers to the same
type of phone. (I hope what I type makes sense).

Also, it is a bit confusing to see the same phone number in Home and Work
address. I thought first they were separate records, now I know they are
the same and if I remove the number from home it is deleted in work. I
think the TAB for address should have been below the phone number and not
above, so you keep the numbers static above, and you click to select which
address you want to see or modify.

Good luck, I'll keep you posted with whatever suggestion I come up with.
Regards.
